Following the development of her latest costumed talk, Paula needed a promotional flyer which she could use at various networking events as a form of advertising and contact mechanism. Her new talk was a 1920’s ladies driving theory class targeted for the groups market. Delivered in character, the talk was based on the writings of the Hon. Mrs Victor Bruce; a spirited racing driver, boat racer and aviator who flew solo around the world in 1930. Paula was looking for a design that reflected the style and character of her subject.
- Promotional DL flyers
Based on Paula’s brief, which needed to take into account print costs, a simple DL sized flyer was created. We used existing photography of Paula in costume and incorporated Art Deco elements into the design to reflect the time period. The project was successfully completed within a very short timescale. It generated a lot of intrigue and provided a good conversation starter.
Following the success of the first flyer Paula asked me to develop a second for her talk about false teeth. She certainly knows how to tell interesting stories!
- Facebook page
The world of social media was new to Paula. But she realised she would be able to raise awareness of her talks more sucessfully with an online presence. I created the page for her and she has continued the promotion of her talks through attendance at various motoring events, and sharing photos of her in character on Facebook.
“Emma was extremely helpful and delivered on time. I talked through my ideas with her and she completely understood the direction I was wishing to take. Her friendly manner allows you to expand on your ideas, even if they sound a little crazy at the time. I was thrilled with the leaflet design – it made my vision feel tangible and gave me a real boost. I am not particularly computer savvy, so Emma’s suggestion to set up a Facebook page for me was greatly received and once again I was delighted with the results. Emma has many great ideas and I certainly want to continue using her services as my small business grows. She has a wealth of ideas on how to best promote your schemes and shares your enthusiasm for your projects so that you know you are on the same page.”
